23 July - Paris

A morning of browsing & shopping.
Marg & Swanny went to Versailles. In the afternoon Michael & I took a 4 hour bike tour around Paris to see the less touristy sites through back cobbled streets and along busy roads. Cycle paths amazing over here.

Alexander our tour guide- very entertaining and knowledgable

Oldest coffee shop in Paris

Every August this busy street along the river is converted to a beach.

Pompidou Centre - 1962 President Pompidou dedicated the Plateau Beaubourg area of Paris to the construction of multidisciplinary cultural centre many Parisians disliked. The outside is designated to carry of the service type requirements of a public building such as elevators lifts in red, water services in blue, air in green and power in yellow etc. This leaves 100% of the inside completely free for all forms of cultural activity.

Met the Swans at "AG"restaurant recommended by Bono & Marg.
