24 July - Paris

Wondered around City, Marg & I popping into a few shops!  And walked up 345 steps to the top of the Arc de Triumph. What a view from there. With Paris skyline being quite flat the view was as good as or better than the top of the Eiffle Tower & much more accessable! The tree lined avenues are amazing. 

Not sure what's happened to dames chics with poodles but seems there are no poodles left in Paris?! However, there are a number of other breeds on leads. Very few people dressed in Parisian style, probably as most of them have vacated the city for the month of July/August for annual holidays. 

Dinner in Saint Germain and couple of cocktails/Guinness before bed.
