PENZANCE - MARAZION

Our rest day! Sunday, Fathers Day.
Amazing brekky at 0900. A few walkers decided to walk the 1.5 hrs to Marazion from Penzance. The other half, that included me, took a taxi after we had a quick look up Chapel Street where our hotel Artist Residence Hotel was. Once we reached the village of Marazion in the drizzling rain and mist we settled into our accomodation- Mount Haven Hotel then visited St Michael's Mount where we met up with the walkers. It is a rocky island 5 miles south of Penzance and 500 metres from Marazion and can be accessed by a causeway on foot depending on the tides. We took a boat (£4 return) as missed the tide! It has been in the Levan family since 1659. Lord St Levan whose family name is St Albun, has lived there since 2003. It was a very interesting visit.
A relaxing few hours before a yummy dinner at our hotel followed by night caps.
