MARAZION - PORTHLEVEN  (17kms)

Dressed in our wet weather gear to start our hike but were pleasantly surprised the sun soon came out. A welcome coffee stop 5 Kms into our walk at Perranuthnoe Beach Cafe then continued along the coastline past Prussia Cove famous for smuggler John Carter in the 18th century.
Sheltered for lunch from the rain near an old tin mine. Followed a stone wall through open paddocks with cattle, then along the narrow paths following the coast with stunning views. Poor Bon had a fall resulting in a huge lump on her forearm! the 1st casualty for the day!
Porthleven is a fishing village near Helston and the most southerly port on the island of Great Britain. In 2013 there was a huge storm causing waves over the clock tower which created recognition for this town. Rich Stein has a restaurant here which we chose not to go to, instead had a lovely meal at Amelies eating pizza and seafood. It was fully booked with one or two dogs at each table! Night caps all round before retiring for the night.

Sadly I still can't upload any photos as they are more interesting than my script which is really for me when I create a picture book of our walk.
