4th August - Turin to Lerici via La Spetzia.

Left Turin in 30 degree heat by train for Lerici via La Spezia after a great couple of days at Hotel Townhouse 70. Stefano picked us up from La Spezia station and took us to their lovely holiday villa built on the hillside just before Tellaro just a couple of kilometres from Lerici.
Lerici is a town in the province of La Spetzia part of the Italian Riviera in Northern Italy. The town is connected to the Cinque Terre by ferry.
Tellaro is a beautiful little fishing town on the side of the mountain facing the sea. We walked into Tellaro which is very picturesque so you can imagine my shutter going all the time, leaving the Stephanini's in peace. Sara (their eldest daughter) was home so it was great to get to know her.
A walk and dinner in Lerici before bed.

Looking up at Steph and Stefano's villa (top, upper floor with blue towel) surrounded by olive trees.

Wonderful home away from home.

Our walk into Tellaro. Very narrow 2 way roads.

Swimmers sunning themselves on rocks.

The beaches are of fine pebbles. Umbrellas and lounges are hired out.

About to head to Lerici for dinner.
